The ConBrio 200R, one of four that exist in the world. Invented by Cal Tech students in 1980 to write orchestral music, the ConBrio is a computerized synthesizer that has never been used to record music.

Brian Kehew, a Los Angeles music producer and sometime keyboard player for The Who, aims to learn how to use it, teach others, and record an album of music with the device. At the time it was invented, the ConBrio was "much more advanced" than regular keyboards of its day, Kehew said.
