Other less obvious "green" innovations at the convention included industrial robots whose components no longer contain toxic metals such as lead. Companies around the world have retooled their electronics used on factory floors, as well as consumer goods found on store shelves, to comply with Europe's Reduction of Hazardous Substances rules. Yamaha has also improved the energy efficiency of its robotics.
