Bonnie Cha Bonnie Cha, Senior Associate Editor November 20, 2006

If you frequently travel overseas for business, a smart phone with world-roaming capabilities is a good thing to have in your travel kit. The smart-phone part of the device gives you access to all the productivity tools you need for getting work done on the road, while world roaming lets you touch base with your colleagues and your family back in the States. Here are six that have passports for international travel. Read our reviews to see if one is right for you.

The Bottom Line Unless your business requires you to travel overseas frequently, there are a number of sleeker and better-performing Windows Mobile smart phones than the Samsung IP-830w. With a sleek design, good performance, and a robust set of productivity and wireless options, the T-Mobile Dash is an all-in-one hit and earns its reputation as a Motorola Q killer. The Samsung BlackJack heralds another 3G-enabled smart phone to Cingular's lineup. While it supports the carrier's video and music service, some design and performance issues trip up this otherwise sexy device. The Nokia E62 certainly isn't for everyone, but with its powerful productivity apps, connectivity options, and solid call quality, the smart phone will make a good addition to a corporate user's arsenal. For the ultimate road warrior, the 3G-enabled AT&T 8525 provides the speed, the power, and the productivity tools to get your work done on the go. The Nextel i930 by Motorola is a good choice for executives looking for a world phone that syncs seamlessly with Outlook--if you can live with the poor battery performance and the lack of Bluetooth.
